Custom Kitchen Concrete Counter

For this kitchen island project, a client approached us with a vision to create a bold, statement piece that would become the heart of their newly renovated kitchen. They wanted a custom concrete island that combined both form and function—something that would serve as a practical workspace while also acting as a striking design feature in their open-plan kitchen.

We began by working with the client to design an island that fit their exact specifications in terms of size, shape, and style. The goal was to create a seamless blend between the industrial aesthetic of concrete and the warmth of their modern home. The island’s surface was crafted from high-quality, polished concrete, offering a smooth, refined finish that was both visually impressive and tactile. To add personality and uniqueness, we incorporated subtle texture variations and delicate inlays, ensuring that the island felt bespoke and handcrafted.

The concrete top was expertly sealed to withstand daily use, making it resistant to stains, heat, and scratches, while maintaining a low-maintenance finish that’s easy to clean. The expansive surface provided ample space for meal prep, dining, and even social gatherings, while the island’s solid construction anchored the open space, creating a natural focal point in the room.

To complement the island’s top, we also designed and installed a set of concrete panels around the base, echoing the natural tones and textures of the countertop while providing a cohesive, modern look. The island was designed to integrate with the surrounding cabinetry and appliances, balancing the raw beauty of the concrete with the soft, inviting elements of the kitchen’s overall design. Throughout the project, we collaborated closely with the client to ensure the island not only met their aesthetic goals but also provided the functionality they needed. The final result is a bespoke concrete kitchen island that elevates the entire space—a durable, elegant centerpiece that transforms the kitchen into a stunning gathering place.
