Our Process
1. Initial Consultation and Design Brief
The process begins with an initial consultation between the client and the design team. During this meeting, the client’s specific requirements, including dimensions, style preferences, functionality, and aesthetic goals, are discussed. Sketches, mood boards, or digital models may be created to visualise the final product.
A detailed design brief is then developed, outlining all the specifications for the bespoke furniture piece. This document serves as a guideline throughout the manufacturing process.

2. Design and Development
The design team refines the initial concept into detailed technical drawings or 3D models. These designs include precise measurements, material specifications, and any special features or finishes requested by the client.
Structural integrity and feasibility are assessed to ensure the design can be realized in concrete. Adjustments are made as necessary to balance aesthetics with practicality

3. Mold Creation
Based on the finalized design, custom molds are crafted. Molds can be made from various materials, such as wood, metal, or silicone, depending on the complexity of the design and the surface finish required.
The mold is meticulously prepared to ensure smooth surfaces and accurate dimensions, as any imperfections in the mold will be transferred to the final concrete piece.

4. Material Preparation
The concrete mixture is prepared according to the specific requirements of the furniture piece. This includes selecting the appropriate type of cement, aggregates, pigments, and any additives to enhance strength, workability, or appearance.
The concrete mix is carefully measured and mixed to achieve the desired consistency and colour.

5. Casting
The prepared concrete mixture is poured into the mold. This step requires precision to ensure even distribution and to avoid air pockets or voids, which could compromise the strength or finish of the piece.
For complex designs, the concrete may be vibrated or compacted to eliminate air bubbles and ensure a dense, homogeneous material.

6. Curing
Once cast, the concrete must be allowed to cure, a process that involves maintaining the right temperature and moisture levels to ensure the concrete reaches its maximum strength. The curing process typically takes several days, during which the piece must be protected from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
The mold is carefully removed after the concrete has sufficiently hardened, revealing the rough form of the furniture piece.

7. Surface Finishing
The piece is then finished according to the design specifications. This may involve sanding, polishing, or applying sealants to achieve the desired texture and appearance. Any sharp edges are smoothed out, and surfaces are polished to enhance the natural beauty of the concrete.
If additional features such as inlays, embedded materials, or custom finishes were specified, they are applied during this stage.

8. Quality COntrol
Each piece undergoes a rigorous quality control check to ensure it meets the design specifications and is free of defects. The furniture is inspected for structural integrity, finish quality, and dimensional accuracy.
Any minor imperfections are corrected, and the piece is cleaned and prepped for delivery.

9. Delivery and Installation
The completed concrete furniture is carefully packaged and delivered to the client. Depending on the size and complexity of the piece, professional installation may be provided to ensure it is correctly positioned and secured in place.
Final adjustments are made on-site if necessary, and the client is briefed on any maintenance requirements to ensure the longevity of their bespoke concrete furniture.
